As you can see, the picture on the left is how the IOS 6 Messages Icon looks. The background is green and there is a speech bubble in the middle of the icon. There are also very very light grey stripes going diagonally across the icon. In the middle picture, you can see how the Messages app looks like when you open it. There is a Title in the middle saying "Messages". In the top-right hand corner of the screen, there is a pencil-over-a-page icon. If you click on it, you will be directed to the page in the third picture. This page is titled as New Message. On the keyboard, you can type what contact you want to talk to and either type in their number or the email address they are registered with.
So, once you send your selected contact a message, this is what the chat page looks like. On the top-left hand corner, you can see the back-button named "Messages". The in Top-Middle, you can see the name of the contact you are messaging. Then, finally, on the top-right hand corner, you can see the edit button; when you tap the button, you either have the choice to delete any of the messages you sent or you can select a message you sent or he/she sent to you and then you could forward it to another one of your contacts WHO ARE REGISTERED with iMessage. Then, below the top bar, the are 3 other buttons, Email, FaceTime & Contact. With the email button, you can email the contact you are chatting with. When you press the FaceTime button, you get to FaceTime with the contact. And finally, the Contact button allows you to see the contact information you have filled in for the contact details.
